ENiCrFe-2 is a nickel-based alloy electrode. It complies with AWS A5.11, ASME SFA A5.11 and other standards, is a low-hydrogen type coated electrode, and uses a DC power supply. It is mainly used for welding nickel-chromium-iron alloys themselves, and can also be used for dissimilar welding between various nickel alloys and carbon steel or stainless steel. Applicable parent materials include nickel-based and iron-nickel-based alloys such as 600 alloy and 800 alloy, as well as materials of ASTM B 163/166/167/168 standards. It has a wide range of applications and can be used in a temperature range from cryogenics to 1500°F (about 816℃), and is commonly used in aerospace, petrochemical, power generation, marine engineering and other fields.

Q: What preparations need to be made before welding?
A: Use a stainless steel brush to clean the contaminants between the parent material, groove and weld. Before using the welding rod, dry it at 350-400℃ for 60 minutes, take out the half-day usage, and keep it at 100-150℃ during welding.
What should be paid attention to when welding? : Use DC reverse connection and use the back-off method to weld to prevent pores at the arc start, and keep it for 3-5 seconds at each end. Keep the arc length short to prevent pores, and do not exceed the recommended current range to avoid reducing the impact value. Nickel and nickel alloys have poor thermal conductivity, and are prone to overheating during welding, causing grain growth. A smaller welding current should be used, and the welding rod should not swing horizontally. Pay attention to filling the arc pit and maintaining a low interlayer temperature when finishing.
Q: Is post-weld heat treatment required?
A: Generally, post-weld heat treatment is not required, but heat treatment is still required to ensure that intergranular corrosion and stress corrosion do not occur during post-weld use.
Q: Can it be used for welding other metals?
A: ENiCrFe-2 is mainly used for welding nickel-based and iron-nickel-based alloys. It can also be used for welding dissimilar materials between nickel-based and iron-nickel-based alloys and stainless steel and low-alloy steel. However, it is not recommended for welding non-recommended metal materials. If it needs to be used for welding other metals, experimental verification must be carried out first.
