Welding preparation guide

 

 

  • Welding rod pretreatment: Before use, the welding rod needs to be placed in an oven at 350-400°C for 30-60 minutes to remove the moisture absorbed by the welding rod during storage, ensure arc stability during welding, and reduce defects such as pores. ​
  • Material cleaning: Use mechanical grinding or chemical cleaning to thoroughly remove impurities such as oil, rust, scale, etc. on the surface of the welding area of the parent material until the metallic luster is exposed. The presence of impurities will affect the quality of the weld and cause welding defects. ​
  • Groove preparation: According to the thickness of the parent material and welding requirements, select a suitable groove form, such as V-type, U-type, etc. The groove angle and blunt edge size must be strictly controlled to ensure the penetration and weld formation during welding.

Consumables matching suggestions

 

  • Shielding gas: When using gas shielded welding, it is recommended to use argon with a purity of ≥99.99% as shielding gas. Argon can effectively isolate the air, prevent metal oxidation during welding, and ensure the quality of the weld. ​

 

  • Welding tools: Use a high-quality DC welding machine to ensure stable welding current output and meet the strict requirements of ENiCrFe-3 electrodes for welding parameters.
