Welding rod E6011 is a carbon steel welding rod with high sodium cellulose coating, which complies with AWS E6011 international standard and is suitable for all-position welding (flat welding, vertical welding, horizontal welding, overhead welding). Its coating contains high cellulose components, and produces a gas-protected molten pool during welding. It is suitable for AC or DC power supply, especially for welding operations under low voltage conditions. Usage

 

Preparation

 

 

  • Clean the surface of the weldment and remove oil and rust.
  • Drying of welding rod: 150℃×1 hour (if it is damp, it needs to be dried).

 

Current selection

 

 

  • DC (DC reverse connection): recommended current range (Φ3.2mm: 90~120A).
  • AC (alternating current): the current is slightly higher than DC by 10%~15%.

 

Welding angle

 

 

Uphill welding is used for vertical welding, with an angle of 60°~80°.

 

Welding speed

 

 

Maintain short arc operation and advance at a constant speed to avoid overheating of the molten pool.

 

Post-weld treatment

 

 

Tap to remove welding slag and check that the weld has no cracks or pores.

 

 

Precautions

 

  • Safety protection: Wear welding mask and gloves, and ensure ventilation in the work area.
  • Arc stability: AC power supply needs to be matched with a high open circuit voltage welder (≥70V).
