Product Introduction

Description

Inconel625 was developed to meet the material requirements of high-strength main steam pipelines.

It is a nickel based  alloy containing a large amount of chromium (20-25wt%), aluminum (8-10wt%), iron (5wt%), and niobium (3.5-4.5wt%) .

There are many products containing high nickel alloy 625, such as bars, rods, wires and forgings, plates, sheets and strips, pipes, valves, pumps, oil drill bits and other accessories

nickel 625 welding rods

Product Applications

Inconel 625 welding rod include high nickel content and excellent corrosion resistance in various environments.

Marine applications

Inconel 625 is highly suitable for high salinity, underwater applications due to its high corrosion resistance, especially against pitting and crevices. Marine propeller blades, mooring lines for protecting ships and similar vessels, submarine accessories and fixtures, and parts of marine equipment are all made of this material

Aerospace applications

In the aircraft industry, high-temperature alloys like High Nickel Inconel 625 Welding Rod,which are used for exhaust equipment, fuel pipelines, heat exchanger casings, and rocket components.

Nuclear technology

Inconel 625 is a suitable component for nuclear reactors, especially in control rods and reactor cores, due to its strength, corrosion resistance, and stress resistance. Nuclear power plants typically operate at temperatures above 650 ° C, which Inconel 625 can withstand.

Industrial processing

Application in the heat exchangers, valves, and fluid delivery systems because it is easy to manufacture and resistant to heat and corrosion.

Its excellent weldability makes it an ideal component for manufacturing factory pipes and tubing, like High Nickel Inconel 625 Welding Rod.

Inconel 625 not only has excellent corrosion resistance, but also non-magnetic and fire-resistant properties. This set of physical properties can be used for applications such as downhole equipment and tools in oil and gas exploration. The riser, pipe hanger, and high-strength fasteners all utilize the characteristics of alloy 625. Natural gas processing equipment such as fluid separation devices will also use alloy 625, as it has oxidation resistance and good thermal fatigue strength. Due to its effective austenite in microstructure, manufacturing and processing are quite simple with appropriate tools and settings.

Production Process

Our nickel based alloy , the smelting process of Inconel 625 rods differs from conventional smelting methods, with three main processes:

Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM)

Vacuum induction melting (VIM) is a method of melting metal conductors using electromagnetic induction to generate eddy currents and heat furnace materials under vacuum conditions.

VIM can provide maximum control over chemical composition, preventing contact between the melt and hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen in the atmosphere. Electromagnetic stirring can not only make the melt uniform, but also continuously bring the reactants to the interface between the melt and the vacuum, thereby enabling the subsequent refining reaction to proceed smoothly. The volatilization and precipitation of gas content and non-metallic inclusions can greatly improve the mechanical properties of most high-temperature alloys.

VIM furnace is important smelting equipment for the production of special alloy materials such as High Nickel Inconel 625 Welding Rod. Especially for alloys containing more active elements such as aluminum and titanium, vacuum induction melting must be used.

Electroslag Remelting (ESR)

Electroslag Remelting (ESR) is a method of melting using the resistance heat generated when current passes through slag as a heat source. It involves the resistance heat generated when current passes through a liquid slag pool, melting the metal electrode and collecting the melted metal into droplets. When dropped, the molten metal passes through the slag layer and enters the metal melt pool, and then crystallizes and solidifies into steel ingots in a water-cooled crystallizer. Electroslag metallurgy is currently an important means of producing high-quality materials, combining high-temperature melting, chemical refining, and condensation crystallization to produce high-quality ingots. It has the advantages of high purity, low sulfur content, few non-metallic inclusions, smooth ingot surface, uniform and dense crystallization, and uniform metallographic structure and chemical composition. It is widely used in important fields of the national economy such as aerospace, military, energy, shipbuilding, electronics, petrochemicals, heavy machinery, and transportation.

Vacuum consumable arc melting (VAR)

Vacuum Arc Remelting (VAR) is the process of generating an arc between an electrode and a copper crucible bottom plate placed in a water jacket using a DC power source under vacuum conditions. The arc heats up to produce high heat, melting the electrode, which continuously descends and melts, are forming a molten pool in a water-cooled copper crucible. The melted metal completes rapid solidification, crystallization, and solidification into ingots, like High Nickel Inconel 625 Welding Rod
