PRODUCT INFORMATION
AWS E7018 Welding Rod is a high-quality carbon steel electrode with iron powder and low hydrogen potassium type. The electrode has excellent welding process performance, good arc stiffness, and is not easy to produce magnetic partial blow. The weld is fine and beautiful, with less spatter and easy slag removal.
APPLICATION
Welding of carbon steel and low alloy steel.Generally, this high-quality welding rod is used for welding marine steel (A, B, d or E, A36, E36) and important structures of low-alloy steel of the same grade strength, such as boilers, pressure vessels and offshore drilling platforms.

Composition and performance characteristics
1. Coating composition
Main ingredients: calcium carbonate (CaCO₃), calcium fluoride (CaF₂), iron powder, ferromanganese (Fe-Mn), cellulose, etc.
Function:
CaCO₃ and CaF₂: reduce the hydrogen content in the weld (diffusible hydrogen ≤ 8 mL/100g) and prevent cold cracks.
Iron powder: improve the deposition efficiency, up to 130%~150%.
Arc stabilizer: ensure stable burning of the arc under AC power supply.
