Element Content Range Main Functions
Carbon (C) ≤0.12% Controls the weld strength, prevents increased cold cracking susceptibility caused by excessive content, and ensures weldability.
Manganese (Mn) 1.00%-1.60% Acts as a deoxidizer, improves weld toughness and crack resistance, and enhances weld strength.
Silicon (Si) 0.50%-0.90% Serves as a deoxidizer to reduce weld porosity and improve weld density; also helps stabilize the arc.
Nickel (Ni) 0.50%-1.00% (Key alloying element) Enhances the low-temperature toughness of the weld, ensuring good impact performance even at low temperatures.
Chromium (Cr) ≤0.20% Added in trace amounts to refine grain structure; auxiliary improves weld corrosion resistance and strength (not a primary function).
Molybdenum (Mo) ≤0.30% Added in trace amounts to improve the high-temperature strength and creep resistance of the weld, and enhance hardenability.
Sulfur (S) ≤0.035% Harmful impurity; its content is strictly limited to avoid weld hot cracking (hot brittleness).
Phosphorus (P) ≤0.035% Harmful impurity; its content is strictly limited to prevent weld cold brittleness (low-temperature brittleness).
