Precautions for use

1. Cleaning impurities on the weld surface: Before welding, be sure to use acetone, alcohol and other organic solvents to carefully wipe the weld surface to remove oil stains, and then use wire brushes, grinding wheels and other tools to fully polish, thoroughly remove rust and scale, avoid pores and slag inclusions, and ensure welding quality.


2. Interlayer temperature control: When performing multi-layer and multi-pass welding, an infrared thermometer is required to monitor the interlayer temperature in real time, and strictly keep the ERNiCrMo-14 welding wire at 100-150℃. Too high a temperature can easily cause the weld structure to be coarse, the strength and toughness to be reduced, and the risk of thermal cracks to be increased; too low a temperature will cause the weld to cool too quickly, produce a hardened structure, reduce plasticity and toughness, and even cause cold cracks.


3. Cleaning the weld after welding: As soon as the welding work is completed, use a wire brush to preliminarily clean the slag and spatter on the weld surface. For the firmly attached parts, use an angle grinder for fine grinding to prevent slag corrosion and stress concentration caused by spatter.
