Stainless Steel Welding Wire ER308LSi

 

ER308LSi is an austenitic stainless steel welding wire, mainly used for welding 300 series stainless steels (such as 304, 304L, 308L, etc.). In its name, "ER" stands for Electrode or Rod, "308" indicates that its alloy composition matches that of 308 stainless steel, "L" indicates a low carbon content (usually ≤0.03%), and "Si" indicates the addition of silicon to improve welding performance.

It is similar to ER308L, but with a higher silicon content, resulting in improved wettability. This alloy is suitable for gas-shielded metal arc welding (GMAW) of stainless steel plates and sheets, producing a smooth weld profile. If base metal dilution leads to a fully austenitic or low-ferrite weld structure, this alloy may exhibit higher crack susceptibility than other low-silicon alloys.

 

1.ER308LSi welding wire has a higher silicon content, usually between 0.65% and 1.00%, which makes it have better fluidity during welding, more beautiful weld formation, stable arc and less spatter.

2.The carbon content is less than 0.03%, which reduces the precipitation of intergranular carbides and thus improves the resistance to intergranular corrosion.

3.It has good fluidity and stable arc characteristics, good welding formation and less spatter.

4.Due to its high chromium and nickel content, it has excellent corrosion resistance and is suitable for a variety of industrial environments

 

1. The products are widely used in petrochemical, pressure vessels, food processing machinery, medical equipment, fertilizer equipment, textile machinery, nuclear reactors, etc.

2. Suitable for welding 0Cr19Ni9 stainless steel structures with working temperature below 300℃.

3. Mainly used for welding ASTM 304L, 308L, 304LN stainless steel
