Products Description

 

 

ERNiCu-7 is a high-performance nickel-copper alloy welding material that complies with AWS A5.14 (ERNiCu-7) and ISO 18274 standards and is designed for MIG, TIG, and SAW processes. It is mainly composed of nickel (≥62%) and copper (28-32%), supplemented by a small amount of iron, manganese, and titanium. It has excellent corrosion resistance and high strength, and is suitable for copper alloy welding and dissimilar metal joining under harsh working conditions.

Corrosion resistance

Anti-seawater erosion (resistant to chloride ions, pitting, stress corrosion cracking)
Tolerant to non-oxidizing acids such as sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid and alkaline environments.

Supports full process coverage of MIG (high-efficiency cladding), TIG (precision welding), and SAW (thick plate deep penetration welding).
Stable arc, good molten pool fluidity, less spatter, suitable for all-position welding.

Dissimilar metal connection

Reliable welding of nickel-copper alloy←→nickel 200, copper-nickel alloy (such as 90/10 Cu-Ni).
Steel-based cladding: Nickel 208 (ERNi-1) must be used as a transition layer in advance to avoid brittle phases caused by iron dilution.

Notes on use

 

Avoid welding in a humid sea breeze environment, and build a wind and moisture proof shed if necessary.
Anti-corrosion coating (such as epoxy resin coating) must be applied within 24 hours after welding.
Preheat to 50-80°C (base material temperature) before welding to prevent the risk of hydrogen embrittlement in low temperature environments.
If the weld cracks, stop the operation immediately and check for problems with heat input, interlayer temperature or parent material cleaning.
If a person is poisoned, move to a ventilated area. If inhalation of smoke causes discomfort, seek medical attention and explain exposure to nickel compounds.
