Welding Requirements

 

1. Pay attention to temperature and humidity. It is recommended that the indoor temperature be above 5°C and the relative humidity not exceed 60%. Keep a certain distance from the ground and walls (about 30cm).

2. Use 100% argon or Ar+ (1%~3%) O2 as the protective gas, and the protective gas flow rate is 20-25L/min.

Preparation before welding

  • Cleaning the welding area: Before welding, the surface impurities such as oil, rust, and moisture at the welding site must be thoroughly removed. You can use appropriate cleaning agents or mechanical methods to clean it to ensure that the groove surface and the surrounding area are ground with a metallic luster to prevent pores and cracks during welding.

Welding parameter setting

  • Shielding gas: When TIG welding, it is recommended to use pure argon as the shielding gas, the purity should be above 99.99%, and the shielding gas flow rate should be 8-15L/min.
  • Tungsten electrode extension length and arc length: The tungsten electrode extension length is about 3-5mm, and the arc length is controlled at 1-3mm to ensure the stability of the arc and the welding quality.
