AWS E8015-C1 is a low-temperature steel electrode with iron powder low hydrogen potassium coating, suitable for AC and DC all-position welding. The deposited metal still has excellent impact toughness at -60℃, and is particularly suitable for welding low-alloy steel structures working in low temperature environments, such as 13MnSi6, 09MnNiNb, E36 and other steels.

Welding process
Preparation before welding
1. Drying of welding rod: bake at 350℃ for 1 hour, use immediately after baking
2. Cleaning of base material: remove rust, oil, water and other impurities
3. Preheating requirements: preheat at 80-150℃ according to the thickness of the plate
Welding parameters
- Use short arc operation and narrow pass welding
- Interlayer temperature is controlled below 200℃
- After welding, 600-650℃ tempering treatment can be performed to eliminate stress
