The weld metal formed by welding with this wire exhibits high strength and good corrosion resistance, as well as good oxidation resistance and high creep rupture strength at high temperatures.
Main Applications:
Used in TIG, MIG, and SAW welding, suitable for a wide range of applications from low to high temperatures, making it one of the most commonly used alloys in the nickel alloy series. This filler metal can also be used for dissimilar metal welding between various nickel alloys and stainless steel or carbon steel, as well as for surfacing. ERNiCr-3 is particularly well-suited for welding in desalination plants because it is specially formulated to resist pitting and stress corrosion cracking in chloride-containing environments.
