The welding electrode is composed of a core (the metal inside) and a sheath. When the core is welded, an arc is generated to conduct electricity to convert electrical energy into heat. The core itself is melted as a filler metal to fill the weld bead to form a weld, and the sheath protects the weld pool. Prevent air intrusion and add beneficial elements to make the weld seam meet the required mechanical properties.
